Golf in Germany pay attention: Bernhard Langer is back!
Schwerin/Vorbeck – A sensation at WINSTONgolf: Bernhard Langer, two-time Masters winner and record-breaking PGA Tour Champion, has confirmed his participation in the WINSTONgolf Senior Open 2025. The exceptional 67-year-old golfer will return to the WINSTONopen Course from 26 to 28 September. A special moment for German golf fans – and perhaps one of the last opportunities to see Langer live on the course. A rare guest and a living chapter of golf history
Participation by Langer, who was born in Anhausen, gives a special charisma to the only Legends Tour tournament on German soil. As a long-standing ambassador and member of WINSTONgolf, his return to Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is more than just a sporting highlight – it’s a strong indication of the special connection between this exceptional golfer and the Tournament.
As Bernhard Langer explains: “I feel a strong attachment to WINSTONgolf. As an ambassador for the course, I'm looking forward to playing in front of my home fans. The outstanding WINSTONopen requires a precise game and tactical skill – exactly the kind of golf that I love. It will be an exciting and emotional weekend - for the spectators too, of course!”
The Championship Course as the perfect stage
The venue is the multi-award-winning WINSTONopen Course. With its demanding greens and strategically placed bunkers, it represents a real challenge for even a world-class player like Langer and the other top players in the field.
Tournament director Stefanie Merchel emphasises the importance of his acceptance:
