Victory in Vorbeck: Bernhard Langer Claims Commanding Wire-to-Wire Win at the WINSTONgolf Senior Open 2025

“I’m absolutely thrilled to finally win here at WINSTONgolf,” said a jubilant Langer during the trophy presentation. “The course was in immaculate condition, and I holed more putts this week than I have in a long time. One of my personal goals is to shoot below my age—and I managed that three times this week. The best part? It keeps getting easier!”

Tournament Director Stefanie Merchel was equally elated: “It’s been our dream to celebrate Bernhard Langer as champion here. We’ve always hoped for it, but didn’t want to jinx it when things looked promising on Friday and Saturday. Now we’re overjoyed that it came true—and that our WINSTONgolf ambassador delivered the perfect finale to an unforgettable weekend.”

Joining Langer on the podium were Sweden’s Patrick Sjöland at 15-under and England’s Matthew Cort at 14-under. From a German perspective, strong showings by Thomas Gögele (T10 at -8) and Christoph Günther (T18 at -6) rounded off a highly successful weekend for German golf.

Spectators were treated to three days of world-class golf, bathed in late-summer sunshine and set against the welcoming, intimate atmosphere that WINSTONgolf is known for. The emotional high point—crafted by none other than living legend Bernhard Langer—will be remembered for years to come.
